Live reindeer on display, photos with Santa, and a tour of the hospital kept our Open House attendees busy on December 7, 2013. We wish to thank everyone who attended for making this day a big success.
The Belle Mead Animal Hospital team set out to make this an extra special day for our guests. How often does one have the opportunity to see Santa’s live reindeer?
Children and adults alike appeared to be in awe of these beautiful animals. Owner Mark Spoko, better known that day as Yukon Cornelius, answered questions and offered attendees an entertaining background on the reindeer. To the delight of the guests, he even coaxed one of the reindeer to “dance” for the guests.
Attendees also lined up with children and leashed dogs for special holiday photos with Santa. Apple cider, cookies and goodie bag treats for children and pets were handed out throughout the afternoon. One lucky guest will be awarded a special holiday gift of a Kindle Fire when one name is selected randomly from the list of attendees visiting the reindeer.
Guests were encouraged to walk through the hospital with team members available to answer questions. Many were introduced to our hospital cats Tommy and Softee Bear, and some even got to see a few of our ferret friends up close.
A big thank you goes out to Raj Iyer, our professional photographer, for his services that afternoon. We also want to thank Santa for showing up all the way from the North Pole to help make this Open House even more memorable.
Some suggested we make this an annual event. We’ll have to consult with Santa about that and let you know. In the meantime, Happy Holidays!
