A visit to Triple C Ranch – Edison Wetlands Association

One of our very good patients, Edison the Pot Bellied Pig, is a resident at Triple C Ranch & Nature Center in Edison, New Jersey. When we heard the ranch was hosting its first ever Monarch Watch Eco-tour, of course a few of us decided to go and pay a visit to our friends, Robert Spiegel, executive director the of the Edison Wetlands Association, and Edison.

The tour took place on Saturday, August 22, 2015. We were happy to see Edison, the goats and other animals doing so well – especially since Edison had recently recovered from a neurologic episode that we treated him for at Belle Mead Animal Hospital.

Bob Spiegel gave us the grand tour. Not only did we see butterflies, moths and various insects, we were treated to fresh vegetables from the garden and got to view various artifacts from the site’s casual “archeological digs”.

We were even featured on the Wild New Jersey website after it all took place. Read more about our adventure under Recommended Reading below. And if you get the chance, take the family for a visit to what we consider a very special place with lots of educational value for children and adults alike.
