October 2017 News – Halloween Events near you!
With Halloween right around the corner, we have some fun family events to suggest participating in with or without your dog!
Pet Masquerade Parade, October 21 – Lambertville, NJ
You’re invited to the 13th Annual Pet Masquerade Parade! The event will take place at the Mary Sheridan Park from 11:30 am-2 pm on Saturday, October 21 (rain date October 22). This fun-filled event features food, vendors, and dozens of dogs competing in a costume parade organized by Animal Alliance of New Jersey. Prizes will be awarded to Best Small/Medium/Large Dog, Best Pair or Group, and Best in Show. There is a $15 registration fee to be in the parade, but free to watch! Animal Alliance will also have some adoptable dogs on hand who are looking for their forever homes. So come out with us and join the fun!
Howl-O-Ween Dog Parade and Costume Contest, October 28 – Hillsborough, NJ
The third annual Howl-O-Ween Dog Parade and Costume Contest is scheduled at the Ann Van Middlesworth Park Dog Park for Saturday, October 28. The event will feature vendors, a dog parade and costume contest! Registration is free to enter your dog and begins at 8:30 am at the Pavilion. The parade will begin at 9:00 am. The dogs will parade from the Pavilion up the path to the Dog Park where prizes will be awarded. Belle Mead Animal Hospital is participating as a vendor along with other local businesses, so stop by to see us!
