Happy Tails Grooming Spa was founded in 1995 by Mary Rudder.  In early 1994, Mary decided to leave AT&T and pursue a career related to her love of animals.  Mary graduated from the Nash Academy of Animal Arts in Lexington, Kentucky in the fall of 1994.  While building her own facility at her home, Mary apprenticed at Mcfee's Tailored Pets in Flemington.  Mary opened the doors of Happy Tails Grooming Spa on April 19, 1995.  Just 10 years later, Mary’s husband John decided to leave “corporate world” and join Mary in the business full time.

Happy Tails Grooming Spa offers the finest in pet grooming services in a quiet home setting, striving to meet the owners scheduling needs.  Each grooming includes a therapeutic Hydrosurge bath, expressing of anal glands, toenail clipping, clipping between the foot pads, ear cleaning and grooming according to the clients personal taste.  In addition, we carry a variety of premium products in our pet boutique, including:

• Eagle Pack Holistic dog and cat food (dry and canned)
• Halo Spot’s Stew for dogs
• Ark Natural Sea “Mobility” jerky treats
• Greenies
• Merrick chew treats, including premium pigs ears and cow hooves

Hours of Operation:  Happy Tails Grooming Spa is a home based business and operates strictly on a “by appointment only” basis.  PLEASE CALL ahead of time to be sure we are open and that we have what you are looking for in stock.  Typical hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 8:00 to 5:00.   However, we strive to meet our clients scheduling needs and often open as early as 7:00 AM to allow our clients to drop their pet off on their way to work, and arrange for evening pick-ups.  We also open on Tuesdays or Thursdays during periods of heavy demand.  And we do take advantage of slow days to run personal errands, though these seem to be few and far between.
