Joseph Martins, D.V.M. (pictured  with Lola and Peanut)

Joseph Martins graduated from the University of Tennessee, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998.  He has 2 dogs - Lola and Peanut, and 3 cats - Spider, Tai, and Turbo.  While not at BMAH, Dr. Martins enjoys mountain biking, hiking, snow boarding and reading.

 

Kim Somjen, D.V.M.

Kim Somjen graduated from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006.  Dr. Somjen has an interest in exotic animals and animal rescue, and is involved in Doberman Rescue..  At home, Dr. Somjen lives with her two Dobermans, Rah and Berlin as well as her cats Frankie and BH.  In her spare time, Dr. Somjen enjoys training and showing her dog in agility, obedience, and protection work.  Both of her dobermans hold national rankings in their respective sports, and OohRah has recently made his utility debut.  Dr. Somjen also enjoys reading, movies, spending time with friends and family, as well as hiking with her dogs.

 
 

Heather Simon, V.M.D.

Heather Simon graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. She completed an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in 2008.  She also received experience as an intern in Small Animal Neurology and Neurosurgery at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital. She joined Belle Mead Animal Hospital in May of 2009. She has one dog, two cats, and a
rabbit. In her spare time, Dr. Simon enjoys running, reading,
cooking, music and art.

Continuing Education Through Lunch & Learn

At the Belle Mead Animal Hospital we are committed to providing continuing education to our staff members.  We set aside time every week for CE meeting/Lunch & Learns.  Here is a sampling of just a few of the topics we have discussed over the past few months along with a picture of our most recent CE meeting.
